Fellows Program

The program design is focused on three pillars of ALF’s model of leadership and change. The pillars are:

Connecting: Building our individual capacity to create change through relationships with diverse others.
Inspiring: Building strength through inclusion and diversity of perspectives in order to generate opportunities for change.
Transforming: Collaborating in service to creating changes that generate new possibilities.

An essential part of learning emerges as a result of the diversity of the group. While there is content in support of each of the pillars, the real learning is found as Fellows explore each of the pillars and apply them in their life. In this way, each class has a unique learning journey that comes from how the class engages and participates in building a learning community.

Facilitators will work with the class to make adjustments and try different approaches to how the group engages in learning. Constant in the monthly sessions is a combination of exploring pertinent leadership concepts, dialogue, the application of new learning in the class setting, and discussion of leadership challenges in service to one’s organization and the community.
